About Amy McCavour

I am pacific northwest born and raised, having lived most of my life in the Portland, Oregon area. Married my teenage sweetheart, a Canadian from Montreal, Quebec, and we have two daughters. My college career resulted in a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene, from Eastern Washington University.  Photography got my attention while in high school, but it was reignited when my children were little. Not wanting to spend much to have their photos regularly done, I invested in a decent amateur DSLR and started to take my own photos. A few cameras and more lenses later, my love has turned more to landscape photography and capturing this amazing corner of the world that I am blessed to call home.  I still do creative portraits of my children, sometimes trying something new, or just capturing candid moments for our own memories. Now and then I am asked to do a family or senior session as well. I can see a progression in my work from when I first started, and hope to keep pushing forward with skills and technique.
